This is a Peerless gearbox (spec. no. 801-030C) which has 5 forward speeds and a reverse gear.
It will fit most of the earlier tractors such as Westwood etc.

Peerless transaxle (5 forward gears, 1 reverse gear)
Brake fitted
Snap ring groove, keyed 3/4 inch axles
